The Rising Stars Facility will be hosting week long sessions of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball camp titled the “Rising Reds,” this summer from June 15th- July 13th for Boys ages 1-8. Their will be Five sessions offered throughout the summer and will last Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M.. For safety reasons, at this baseball camp the campers will be grouped by their and grade to help promote the best learning environment for them. Each group will then be given a coach to be their “team leader” for the week while they attend camp. (Minimum of 20 participants per session)

Campers attending the Rising Reds Baseball camp at the Rising Stars Facility will have skillsets of both someone that may have never played baseball before, and someone that could become an MLB player. Also, some campers may attend just to improve their baseball skill set while others attend just for the camp experience. Batting Cages are provided at the Rising Stars facility to help improve and practice all the fundamentals of becoming a better batter. By the time campers leave at the end of the week they will have learned how to work together as a team, how to play the game of baseball, and how to become a better baseball player for the future. (Side note: Campers should bring their own lunch and drinks for lunch time)

Date and Times offered:

• Session 1 (June 13th- June 17th 9:00AM-3:00PM)

  • Beginners- Baseball Rules and Fundamentals, Recreational gameplay, General baseball drills and practices (General basics of Baseball gameplay and rules)

• Session 2 (June 20th- June 24th 9:00AM-3:00PM)

  • Moderate Players- Brief overview of Baseball Rules and Fundamentals, Recreational gameplay, Competitive gameplay, General baseball practices (For those who already have a knowledge of the game of Baseball)

• Session 3 (June 27th- July 1st 9:00AM-3:00PM)

  • Pitchers- Brief overview of Baseball rules and fundamentals, Overview of correct ways to perform as a pitcher in the game of baseball, proper stances/ hand placement/ pitching motions. (For those trying to excel in the game of baseball as a pitcher)

• Session 4 (July 4th- July 8th 9:00AM-3:00PM)

  • Fielding- Brief overview of Baseball rules and fundamentals, Overview of correct ways to execute as a fielder in the game of Baseball,  how to execute proper body placement, fielding motions, and improving fielding I.Q. (For those trying to excel in the game of Baseball as a Fielder)

• Session 5 (July 11th- July 15th 9:00AM-3:00PM)

  • Batting- Brief overview of Baseball rules and fundamentals, Overview of batting technique, How to execute proper batting stance and swing. General overview of bunting in games. Recreational gameplay, Competitive Gameplay (For those trying to excel in the game of baseball as a batter)

Cost of Camp:

• $400.00 for the entire week long camp

Registration:

• Participants may register by filling out the Rising Stars Registration form in person, online, or through direct mail.

• Registration for each session must be finished and turned in at least one month before the first day of the camp session of your choosing.

• Registration opens January 1st

• In order to operate each session of camp, there must be at least 20 participants.

Camp Services:

• Early Bird Special- Register prior to 4/1/2016 to receive $25.00 Discount

• Family and Friends Discount- When Two or more children sign up together they receive $25.00 Discount

• Early Arrivals and Late Pickups- Parents may drop child off as early as 8:00AM and pick them up as late as 5:00PM to accommodate parents schedules

• Carpooling- When registering for camp parents may check “Car Pool” box to connect with other parents that would also be interested in utilizing this service.

• Inclement Weather Policy- In the event of inclement weather, camp activities will be moved to indoor the Rising Stars facility where indoor activities and instruction will then be given to the campers. No camp days have been lost during the Cincinnati Reds camp tenure.
